Ilhan Kyuchyuk from the European Parliament: Blood is being shed in Gaza – inaction is a crime, and sympathy without action is hypocrisy

EP Plenary session - The United Kingdom accession to the Convention of 2 July 2019 on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters

During the plenary debate in the European Parliament on stopping the genocide in Gaza and imposing EU sanctions, MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk delivered an emotional speech calling for immediate action from the international community and the European Union.

“Less than 24 hours ago, 51 people were killed after Israeli forces opened fire near a humanitarian aid distribution point. They were looking for bread — and they found death!” Kyuchyuk declared from the European Parliament rostrum.

The MEP emphasized that what is happening in Gaza cannot be reduced to a mere military conflict but represents deliberate destruction, disguised by complicity through silence. He directed sharp questions at world leaders and international institutions:

“Where is the international community? Where are all these world leaders? How many more bodies need to be carried out before it’s considered ‘enough’?”

Kyuchyuk condemned the inaction and warned that silence has become a crime, while sympathy without real action is an act of hypocrisy.

In conclusion, Ilhan Kyuchyuk issued clear calls to action:

“I call for an immediate ceasefire, for an international investigation, for sanctions, and for real humanitarian aid. I call for the preservation of what makes us human — conscience! Do not kill humanity!” Kyuchyuk concluded.
