MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk awarded Plovdiv High School with the Simone Weil Award for Multicultural Education and Tolerance

The French High School in Plovdiv “Antoine de Saint-Exupery” became the first school to be awarded the Simon Way Prize by MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk. The founders of the award for multicultural education and tolerance are MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk and his advisor Valentin Tonchev.

“There is no doubt that Simon Wei’s testament is still relevant today. Another proof of this is the work of the French Language High School in Plovdiv, which has the potential, strength and foresight to support the foundations of democratic values and European principles, “said Kyuchyuk at the ceremony.

He also said that since 2007 the high school has become a “home of European history” through its club “Active European”, which has established itself among the school community as a major factor in the realization of the European educational idea.

After the high school award ceremony, Kyuchyuk gave a lecture on The Future of Europe.
