Ilhan Kyuchyuk is born on 16 September 1985 in the city of Sevlievo. He was re-elected as Member of the European Parliament from the Renew Europe group in the European elections in May 2019. He is a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), a substitute member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) and Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI). Ilhan is the first vice chair of the Delegation to the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee and a substitute member of the Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula.

In November 2015, Ilhan was elected Vice President of the ALDE party, in December 2017 and in October 2019 he was re-elected with the highest score among all candidates. From November 2014 until November 2017, he is a member of the Liberal International Human Rights Committee. During the period 2013-2014, he is a Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs at the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria.

He graduated from the “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo in “Law” and “Political Studies”. During the years he had the opportunity to participate in various trainings such as Public policies academy (Prague, Czech Republic), FNF’s Liberal academy (Gummersbach, Germany), US State Department program on European economic, social and political issues, Rossotrudnichestvo program on Foreign Affairs (Moscow, Russia). In 2012 he graduated from the Bulgarian school of politics “Dimitar Panitsa” and participated in the World forum for Democracy in Strasbourg, France. In 2014 he graduated from the École nationale d'administration in France.

Ilhan Kyuchyuk is a member of the Youth MRF since 2005. During the period 2009-2012 he is a member of the Central Operational Council of Youth MRF with portfolio "Internal politics, media and PR". At the VIth National Conference held in November 2012, he was elected as Chairman of Youth MRF. He was re-elected in April 2016. Kyuchyuk is the president of the Youth MRF in the period 2012-2020. In 2010 he became a member of the Executive Council of the National Youth Forum (NMF), and in 2011 he was elected as Deputy Chairman. In October 2017, Kyuchyuk was awarded with a honorary sign for the municipality of Sevlievo because of his active public activity among the young people in the municipality. In March 2018, he received the award MEP of the Year in the category “Culture and Media”. Married with one child. Speaks English, Russian and Turkish.
