Ukraine Honors Ilhan Kyuchyuk with an Honorary Certificate

Kyuchyuk is the first Bulgarian politician to visit Ukraine since the beginning of the war.

Today, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria, H.E. Vitaly Moskalenko, awarded Bulgarian MEP from the MRF party, Ilhan Kyuchyuk, with an honorary certificate.

The Embassy of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the leader of the European liberals for his contributions in upholding the principles of international law and providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian citizens affected by the Russian Federation’s aggression.

“The greatest recognition and gratitude belong to the citizens of Ukraine, for their courage in defending their rights and preserving the integrity of their country. It is an honor for me to receive this certificate. This recognition is not only for me but also for the party I represent. We all stand with the Ukrainian people, and we will continue to support them!” Kyuchyuk stated after receiving the award.

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine, and the leader of the European liberals was the first Bulgarian politician to visit several of the affected cities—Kyiv, Bucha, and Irpin.

Kyuchyuk has repeatedly expressed, on behalf of himself and the European liberals, full support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the country’s European aspirations.

Since the start of the war, Ilhan Kyuchyuk has visited Ukraine twice, holding high-level meetings with ministers, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) Ruslan Stefanchuk, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna, and other members of parliament.
