On the 3th of January 2020, the The Council of the Moroccan Community living abroad, organized the first “Diplomatic Salon” at the residence of H.E. Ms. Zakia El Midaoui, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Bulgaria, which was devoted to the topic: “Women and their role in promoting cultural and diplomatic relations between countries”.
Among the distinguished by the “The Council of the Moroccan Community living abroad at the event, was the Renew Europe/MRF MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk. The award was handed to him under the recommendation of H.E. Ms Midaoui for promoting Moroccan culture in Bulgaria and encouraging the bilateral relations between the European Union and the Kingdom of Morocco.
The “Council of the MoroccanCommunity living abroad”, in partnership with the Moroccan consular and diplomatic missions accredited abroad and the Hassan II Foundation, organized the salon in order to create a space for dialogue and exchange of experience, as well as to strengthen the relations between Morocco and other countries where the Kingdom is represented at diplomatic level. “The Kingdom of Morocco is a strategic and economic partner of the EU and we need to promote and deepen our partnership. I am delighted that the first topic of the diplomatic cultural salon in Bulgaria emphasized on the role of women in all spheres of political, economic and social life. The Kingdom of Morocco can serve as an example for many of the countries around the world on the way women are integrated into public life. The Ambassador of Morocco to our country is one such positive example,a person who through her tireless work promotes the Moroccan culture in Bulgaria”, said Kyuchyuk.
