Students from Izmir visited the European Parliament at the invitation of MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk

MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk organizes visitors trip at the European Parliament for young people from Izmir

During the visit the guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the institution, attend a lecture on the history and the mechanism of the European Union as well as meet the Bulgarian MEPs from the Movement for Rights and Freedom.

Sharing experience on his activities and obligations as a member of the European Parliament, Ilhan Kyuchyuk paid particular attention to the fact that young people have an important role in the formation of policies in various spheres. “The young people are an essential part of the political and public life. Moreover, future belongs to the young and their word is heard, because we are the ones who are bringing change.”, he said.

In conclusion, Mr. Kyuchyuk assured them that he would work for the lifting of all unjustified barriers regarding access to the labor market of the EU. According to him this type of visits are essential for the effective and fruitful communication between the institution and the citizens, but are also a wonderful opportunity get closer to the democratic values that the European Union shares.
