For the fourth year, Sofia hosts the “EU MEETS THE BALKANS” Forum

On Thursday, April 17, at 09:30 AM, the EU MEETS THE BALKANS” forum will take place at Sofia Tech Park. The event is organized by the European Liberal Forum, the ALDE Party, and the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria.

The forum will be officially opened by Ilhan Kyuchyuk, MEP and Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee in the European Parliament, Vasil Terziev, Mayor of Sofia, Solomon Passy, President of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, and Jan-Christoph Oetjen, MEP and President of the European Liberal Forum.

An official statement will be delivered by Iliana Yotova, Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, followed by a keynote address from Marta Kos, EU Commissioner for Enlargement.

The event has established itself as a key platform for strategic dialogue between EU and Balkan leaders – including foreign ministers, politicians, think tank experts, entrepreneurs, media representatives, and youth organizations. The main goal is to outline a common path toward strengthened regional cooperation and accelerated European integration.

The forum will foster an open and equal dialogue between the European Union and its Balkan partners – a dialogue based on shared values, transparency, and a firm commitment to a European future.

Journalists are welcome, and registration is available on-site starting at 9:30 AM, as well as online via the following link:
