Discussion forum for Liberal-minded women brings together participants from across Bulgaria in Haskovo

This weekend, the city of Haskovo hosted a National Forum-Discussion for Liberal-Minded Women, which gathered participants from all over Bulgaria. The event, organized for yet another year, aimed to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas, the affirmation of liberal values, and the strengthening of women’s role in public and political life.

During the forum, Ilhan Kyuchyuk, MEP from Renew Europe/MRF, stated:

If an organization wants to be liberal, it must have strong female representation and a vibrant youth structure. What we should be proud of is that, during this crisis within the party, we saw many brave women – mothers, sisters, wives. This is a struggle for the next generations, and a mother is often the one best able to sense that.”

The great interest in the event once again demonstrated that female energy is a powerful catalyst—one that is urgently needed in society. The strong energy of the forum and the participants’ deep engagement reaffirmed that liberal values are alive and essential for the development of a fair and modern society.

In his concluding remarks, Kyuchyuk declared:
The MRF is a political community, and we must create a path and a plan—and follow them. If we have a path and a plan, no one can stop us.”

Among the speakers at the forum were Filiz Hyusmenova, member of the Central Operational Bureau of MRF; H.E. Jelena Filipović-Stojanov, Ambassador of Montenegro to Bulgaria; journalist Nikolay Barekov; and women holding leadership roles in local government.

The event was attended by MRF Deputy Chair Valentin Tonchev, Members of Parliament Myumyun Myumyun and Mario Rangelov, Central Bureau members Alizan Yahova, Dr. Nigyar Dzhafer, Mukaddes Nalbant, and former MP Fatme Ramadan.
