Today the Member of the European Parliament from MRF/Renew Europe Ilhan Kyuchyuk held a meeting with the president of the Parliament of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi. During their conversation at the European Parliament, the two politicians discussed the last European Council and its decision to postpone for a third time in the past 16 months the start of membership negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania.
“I urged Mr Xhaferi and the Macedonian authorities to not give up on their path of European integration, but with even more serious reforms in the country to prove, that they belong to the European family. I strongly believe that the decision to start the negotiation process will be soon reconsidered and the resolution, that the European Parliament supported today with a vast majority is the first step in that direction.”, commented Ilhan Kyuchyuk during the meeting.
